Plastic stained glass suncatchers make great Christmas ornaments. They are inexpensive, too. I bought a box of 18 of them with paints and a brush for under $5.00. Just paint, let dry and attach a string or yarn hanger.

Here is a bright floral afghan I have started.
I am using the flower from the Citrus Splash
top pattern in the June 2009 Crochet World.
I immediately fell in love with the pattern!

Hi, everyone! Here are some pictures of a mini sleigh I worked out today. I should have the pattern up soon.

This book is so easy to make. It only takes a minute!
Materials:
4 blank note cards
1 rubber band
Step 1: Open all cards flat.

Step 2: Stack cards on top of each other.

Step 3:
Slip rubber band over all cards and into center of stack of cards.

You now have your very own 8-page book to enjoy!
Will your book be a journal? A sticker book? Let me know what you’ll use
it for!

I love vintage sewing patterns, don’t you? I have just started collecting them. I
don’t sew much, but I am looking forward to the day that I will one day have time to
sew.
I think it would be fun to sew some of these retro-fashions and to wear them
out someplace. Like I could wear that black jumpsuit in the middle to WalMart-
ha ha!
Anyway, just wanted to share this fun picture with you and also my thoughts on
vintage sewing patterns, which I see neglected at thrift stores everywhere.
Thanks for stopping into my blog for a visit!

Here are some pictures of a knitting bag I recently purchased.

It looks handy, doesn’t it?

I love old craft books. I have too many to count. I especially love the books from
the 1980′s, like this one.

The patterns were great.

Who didn’t (at the time) love those bright 80′s colors? Even men wore hot pink!

I love that big 80′s hair! Looking back, it’s easy to make fun of ourselves for being
so outlandish. But, outlandish, is what made the 1980′s fun!
I buy the books for the patterns, of course. The rest is just a bonus!!

My latest crafting obsession is crocheting with VHS tape. I’m not sure if there are
a lot of crochet patterns available for this technique or not…I haven’t done a search
yet. I imagine there are a few freebies somewhere.
I will keep working with the technique and I’ll be sharing some free patterns on the
internet with you.
What is your opinion on crocheting with VHS tape? Have you tried it? Do you think
it is tacky? I am always interested in my readers’ opinions!
One tip I have to share with you is to write down how many minutes of tape you
have before you start, so that you can get an estimate of how much tape you are
using in your projects.
Happy Crocheting!

I’m so excited! I got my new Annie’s Hook & Needle Club Kit today…and it was this
fun teddy bear design!

The Annie’s Hook & Needle Club Kits are written with both crochet and knit
instructions, so more crafters can enjoy them. I think that is ingenious! Both
bears look very similar in design.
This is one craft kit I will definitely make!

If you are making a scrapbook for your newborn baby, why not include a few
magazines from the week or month and year your child was born? Just slip them
between page protectors, or keep them in a box or manila envelope.
Some of the magazines I would suggest are People, a fashion magazine, and Time.
This way, your child can look back someday and see what was happening the year
he or she was born!

I think the gingerbread men are cute!
